Blockade Labs, a leading innovator in machine learning and AI, today introduces a new level of control in 2D generative AI creation with the Alpha release phase of Blendbox. Blendbox is an iterative generative art AI workflow solution designed to address critical challenges in the 2D digital creative process-the lack of control and unpredictability-by giving users precise tools to create and refine their specific visions.

Building on the ease-of-use legacy of the highly successful Skybox AI, which has enabled the creation of over 15 million 3D immersive environments, Blendbox simplifies the generative AI art process by replacing long, complex prompts with a simple drag-and-drop interface that doesn't require drawing skills, pre-made assets, or constant retries. It provides a smooth, integrated workflow without the frustration of starting over or relying on luck.
Users simply select styles from a dropdown, add individual elements like images, objects, or effects, and arrange them on a drafting canvas. These elements update instantly, and the final artwork adapts to changes without altering the entire image, giving users control over the composition. If an element isn't perfect, users can easily modify or retry it without disrupting the rest of the design, making the process seamless and flexible. From style and mood to lighting, texture, and detail, Blendbox gives digital artists, designers, and creatives the freedom to customize every aspect of their work in real time. Once they are happy with their final piece, users can click the Enhance & Upscale buttons and their artwork is turned into its final best quality AI artwork.
Key Features
Modular Image Control allows users to adjust individual elements such as texture, light, shadow, color schemes, and object placement, offering incredible versatility.
Real-Time Adjustments ensure users can tweak these parameters instantly without having to regenerate the entire image, enabling faster iterations and fewer redos.
Layered Output Control feature allows users to manage each layer of their image, similar to Photoshop, giving them granular control over the final composition.
Blendbox is designed for creators who want precise control over their work, whether they're beginners or experienced digital artists who require command over every pixel, said Blockade Labs CEO Marguerite DeCourcelle. Blendbox is the perfect blend of artistic control and technological efficiency, offering detailed precision at every step. Today's launch marks the first phase of the Blendbox roll-out. In the future, Blockade Labs plans to introduce product templates, 3D models, and the ability to import 360-degree backgrounds (either created by Skybox AI or uploaded). In addition, Blendbox will add tools for adding and refining text, fonts, logos, and other assets, as well as customized lighting options. The Alpha release of Blendbox is available with an accessible pricing model to suit various user needs, with future pricing plans to evolve as the platform grows.
