Jigsaw24 has announced that it has been awarded The Digital Production Partnership's top Committed to Sustainability mark. The B2B technology solutions provider achieved five leaf accreditation' - the highest possible score in the scheme, which was developed by the DPP to enable suppliers in the media industry to demonstrate that they're working towards reducing their environmental impact.
Established to celebrate and promote good practice throughout the industry, the DPP Committed to Sustainability programme provides a common framework for procurement teams to analyse the environmental impact of their suppliers, and a practical tool by which organisations can assess their own progress against key environmental measures, including targets for performance improvements, the role of sustainability in design and delivery, and the use of renewable or non-fossil fuel energy sources. For Jigsaw24, alignment with the DPP scheme is only the latest development in a long-term strategy to optimise its sustainable business practices.
To this end, the company had previously achieved compliance with a host of environmental standards that meant much of the groundwork for the Committed to Sustainability mark was already in place. Examples include the ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards for, respectively, environmental management and energy management, while Jigsaw24 also holds a silver rating with the world's largest provider of business sustainability ratings, EcoVadis and is about to publish its very first Social & Environmental Impact Report. In addition, Jigsaw24 has committed to pursuing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as well as the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard regarding greenhouse gases. The company has already achieved Net Zero for the GHG Protocol's Scope 1 (direct emissions from owned or controlled sources) and Scope 2 (indirect emissions from the generation of purchased energy systems) with offsets. It is currently working with a leading carbon reduction consultancy to develop a comprehensive Scope 3 plan which addresses all other indirect emissions in the company's value chain as it progresses along the pathway towards Net Zero across the business, without offsets.

The DPP accreditation is especially significant for the Jigsaw24 Media Division because it's a standard that has achieved comprehensive industry recognition in the wake of many broadcasters adopting exacting new targets for sustainability. Both the BBC and ITV have pledged to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 while Netflix aims to become carbon neutral by the end of 2022 - ambitious goals which are only possible if every company in the media supply chain plays its part.
