European technology developer Profuz Digital is delighted to confirm that Proximus Media House has selected the SubtitleNEXT subtitling software platform.
Proximus Media House (PMH) is a Belgian media powerhouse that delivers cutting-edge bilingual content for Proximus' platforms and channels, including On Demand and Live Sports broadcasting productions such as the UEFA Champions League football in Belgium and is the service provider for all Belgium football to a multitude of distribution companies in Dutch and French, involving multiple playout channels.
The SubtitleNEXT platform has already been embraced by a growing number of broadcast and film industry professionals across the globe. Profuz Digital's range of solutions include media asset management system Profuz LAPIS and with SubtitleNEXT, manage subtitles, dubbing and localisation services for media content including coordination of teams of translators, subtitlers, AV professionals, creative freelancers, while providing users with powerful toolsets in a secure workspace environment.
Constantly working on ways of enriching customer experience and improving workflows to keep ahead of the game, Media Operation Team Leader Paul Briat at PMH outlines, At Proximus Media House, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality content across our live TV channels, Pickx+ and Pickx+ Sport, as well as through our extensive On Demand catalogue.
Our subtitling team plays a crucial role in this mission by crafting and adapting subtitles for the movies and series featured on Pickx+ and available On Demand. Their work ensures accessibility and enhances the viewing experience for all audiences.
We chose SubtitleNEXT for its rich feature set and modular design. Its flexibility allows each subtitler to personalize the interface to suit their workflow. Additionally, the integration of AI-powered translation and transcription tools significantly streamlines the subtitling process, enabling our team to work more efficiently and effectively.
Other Media Operation team members at PMH expand on their experience using SubtitleNEXT:
SubtitleNEXT offers far more flexibility for subtitling and closed captioning than what we're accustomed to. From time spotting to colouring, it imports and exports a vast majority of subtitle formats, it works with any video format in any resolution or quality, and it lets you adjust keyboard shortcuts and the user interface to your needs and preferences. I'm very pleased with our company's choice to partner up with this software." confirms Giovanni, Flemish-language at PMH.
Anna, Dutch-language subtitler comments, "SubtitleNEXT is an incredibly handy software platform that can be adjusted to every subtitler's needs. It has all the features you can possibly think of, without compromising on clarity."
"After using SubtitleNEXT for a few months now, I can say that it is a very convenient program. While the wide range of options may initially seem a bit complex, it quickly becomes clear and intuitive, making the experience all the more rewarding. It has become a very useful subtitling tool among the team." Remarks Natacha, French-language subtitler at PMH.
We are delighted to that the excellent media operations team at Proximus Media House have embraced SubtitleNEXT as a useful platform to further empower them with reliable and powerful toolsets, to support a diverse range of production requirements and help enhance subtitling creativity. SubtitleNEXT integrates well into their existing infrastructure demonstrating it is an adaptable solution. SubtitleNEXT's innovative features and capabilities have aligned extremely well with the needs of PMH, and we look forward to collaborating with them on many upcoming projects where Profuz Digital platforms can be the key to delivering many more solutions for future challenging projects. We feel honoured to be chosen as a subtitling technology partner to PMH to help them achieve their goals of providing customers with the best possible media experience. CTO Kamen Ferdinandov at Profuz Digital states.
Profuz Digital's CEO Ivanka Vassileva notes, We are extremely proud that Proximus Media House has invested in SubtitleNEXT. The industry as a whole, needs to innovate with new technological solutions, and PMH already leads the way. As the demand for captivating viewing experiences rise, PMH thrives on keeping up with the pace of technology. SubtitleNEXT brings innovation that enables efficiency, versatility and a user friendly interface to operators. We are looking forward to supporting PMH for the long term with ongoing advancements.
As PMH supports and meets the rise in demand for content, they need to rely on a dynamic system that delivers powerful, flexible, and future-ready subtitling workflows that can fit into their strategy. SubtitleNEXT's development team always steps up to the plate, demonstrating passion for innovation with exciting new features and capabilities that will support continued growth. The exciting release of SubtitleNEXT's latest version 5.16 will be demonstrated at IBC this year on Profuz Digital stand 8.A88 which will further optimise PMH's subtitling capabilities ahead of major broadcast and live sports broadcasting productions.
