The Crown's sixth and final season might be a few months away but that has not contained the excitement around the show. The most anticipated cast reveal for the upcoming season are the actors who will be playing a more grown-up Prince William and his then girlfriend turned wife Kate Middleton.

Ed Mcvey and Meg Bellamy as the younger Kate Middleton and Prince William The actors according to Variety who will be portraying the now Prince and Princess of Wales are Ed Mcvey and Meg Bellamy. Ed has been spotted shooting scenes with Elizabeth Debicki who portrays his on-screen mother, the late Princess Diana.

Ed and Meg were photographed on set at St Andrews College which is where William and Kate met and started their romance in 2001. The pair got engaged in 2010 and married in 2011 in a lavish ceremony that rivalled that of William's parents in 1981.

The couple who were formally the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were made the Prince and Princess of Wales upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II by King Charles III whose coronation will be held in May.

The final season of the drama will cover the events that occurred in the late nineties which include the death of Princess Diana and that of Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother in 2002. There has been debate as to the sensitivity of the portrayal of Diana's death but the producers of The Crown have stated that they will handle it right and sensitively .
