Mike Mitchell, host and producer of the popular television series BC Outdoors Sports Fishing TV is pleased to announce that they will be airing the seventh season on networks throughout Canada and the United States this fall. Mitchell, editor of BC Outdoor magazine, also produces Sportsfishing Adventure TV. The TV show brings the pages of the magazine alive with breathtaking scenery, world-famous fishing opportunities by sharing his knowledge and expertise host. While the main focus is on informing, explaining and teaching, the show is expanding their audience by showing the viewers how easy fishing can be and what to use in order to be successful during a day out on the water.

Mike Mitchell started at BC Outdoors magazine in 2004. During a 2009 fishing trip the idea of BC Outdoors Sport Fishing TV was developed and the following spring the first pilot was shot, since then the television series has aired 65 episodes on 12 different networks across Canada and the USA.
Mitchell is also Executive Producer of Sportfishing Adventures TV, hosted by professional athletes Brendan Morrison and Chris Burns. This show has an exciting format with celebrity names and has matched the success of BC Outdoors Sport Fishing television. Mitchell describes himself as a husband, father, friend, editor, and producer; show host and ever-grateful man for all that brought him to this point. He says, I'm looking forward to the next great adventure in the great BC outdoors.
On every BC Outdoors Sport Fishing TV show Mike Mitchell features local experts in the industry as co-hosts, each sharing their unique expertise to enhance the quality of the show. When it comes to fishing Mike's true fishing love has to be chasing salmon on the coast. Some of his favorite locations to fish are the Central Coast, west coast of Vancouver Island and Port Hardy. Before and after salmon season stillwater fishing fly-fishing becomes the focus and After five seasons fishing next to, Brian Chan, Mike has honed this skills and enjoys early spring and late fall fly fisheries in the Interior.
Sportsfishing Adventures TV has a winning formula that has captivated our expanding viewership. Our host's passion for fishing is undeniably contagious, but the insider-look that viewers get of our celebrity hosts and guests is what attracts a wider audience. Brendan Morrison and Chris Burns share hosting duties throughout the season. Brendan is a 15-year NHL veteran and an extremely passionate angler that hosts his own annual charity fishing derby. Chris grew up fishing on the west coast. He spent eleven seasons in the CFL and celebrated the success a Grey Cup win in 1999. He's now the host of a weekly sports show on Team 1040 radio.
Sportsfishing Adventures TV takes out other professional athletes and/or celebrities out on world class guided fishing trips and have a friendly competition on the water. Their episodes show the athletes and celebrities getting into epic fish while discussing their careers and highlighting all the aspects of the fishing charter or resort where they stay. Our host's passion for fishing is undeniably contagious. Brendan and Chris are joined by celebrity guests, who help showcase the lodge and destination. Whether it's locker-room conversations with their former teammates, or stories of career highlights, these insights keep viewers entertained and wanting more! Our previous season included exciting guests like: Kirk McLean, Miikka Kiprusoff, Mark Stepnoski, Dave Babych, Terry David Mulligan and more. To add to the excitement, our guests go head-to-head with our hosts in a fishing competition that brings out their competitive spirit and energy. We're not your average fishing show!
