Media technology and content distribution specialist Vision247 has been selected by ViewSat, a leading provider of video distribution services, as its exclusive partner for provision of web streaming services to its extensive customer-base of television channels.
ViewSat is a fast growing global satellite provider serving Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Europe and North America with television and radio channels. By partnering with Vision247, ViewSat is now able to offer customers greater flexibility for delivering their TV channels via cost effective web streaming as well as satellite distribution.
ViewSats new streaming service is provisioned through Vision247s Video Platform, providing complete video capture and in-house multi-bit rate encoding for adaptive streaming. Vision247s award-winning video-optimised Content Delivery Network delivers high quality online video streaming, ensuring ViewSats customers and their audiences experience the optimum streamed viewing experience.
The channels are streamed over the web, delivered via an embedded flash player, and transcoded so that anyone with access to a PC or an iOS or Android connected mobile device will be able to watch live streamed programming wherever they are.
