Talented actors Linda Sokhulu, Sthandiwe Kgoroge, and Mondli Makhoba have reportedly dumped Umkhokha Season 2, which is now titled Umkhokha: The Curse.

WHY ACTORS LEFT UMKHOKHA: THE CURSE' Zimoja reports that leading actors Mondli Makhoba, Linda Sokhulu have left the telenovela Umkhokha aka Umkhokha: The Curse over salary disputes. It is reported actress Sthandiwe Kgoroge has been replaced.

Drum reported that former Generations actor Daniel Hadebe has replaced The Wife star Mondli Makhoba as Reggie.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela also revealed that actress Sthandiwe Kgoroge will not return to the hit show.

Kgoroge confirmed her departure when she contacted and said there was no bad blood.

There is no bad blood between me and the production, I left due to the clutching of our schedules.

The series producer, Sinini Nyathi confirmed to the publication that the three top leading actors will not reprise their roles.

We have about three lead actors who won't be returning sadly. We as a company were totally saddened by them not returning.

LINDA SOKHULU SCORES LEADING ROLE Former Umkhokha, now dubbed Umkhokha: The Curse star Linda Sokhulu has secured the role 1Magic's dramedy Grown Woman as Tina Hlatshwayo.

She plays a widow who only starts to enjoy her life at 49 thanks to her on-screen new lover Rakwena Ra Kwena played by Bohang Moeko.

Tina is a businesswoman who is a mother to two children. After the death of her husband whom she had been married to for over 25 years, she has to find herself again and try to bring meaning to her life now that she's a widow, Sokhulu tells Sowetan.

As Tina looks inwards and figures out who she is and what makes her happy, she encounters a handsome, much younger man who helps her rediscover herself and somehow in the process she falls in love with someone who's as old as his son . It becomes something unexpected yet thrilling to her. The show will also feature How To Ruin Christmas actor Sandile Mahlangu, who plays Tina's son Sakhile, actress Bahumi Mhlongo, who plays her daughter Noxee, Isidingo actress Hlubi Mboya and more.
