The fifteenth edition of Animayo Gran Canaria, 100% virtual this time, begins its journey Desde el 9 de mayo, la vanguardia del cine de animaci n, los efectos visuales y los videojuegos con una veintena de sus disciplinas m s significativas, se dan cita en Animayo.
El Primer Festival de animaci n, efectos visuales y videojuegos del mundo realizado en plataforma 100% virtual, la decimoquinta edici n de Animayo Gran Canaria que inicia su andadura el pr ximo 9 de mayo, congregar a cincuenta y siete expertos nacionales e internacionales de la animaci n, los efectos visuales (VFX) and the videojuegos de hasta 14 pa ses del mundo.
Como si de una producci n en s misma se tratase y abierta a todo el p blico previa inscripci n gratuita en su web, Animayo, desde Gran Canaria al mundo, plantea un ambicioso programa en el que, pr cticamente, se integran todas las disciplinas y categor as profesionales del sector audiovisual.
Todos ellos, y tambi n ellas, 57 estrellas invitadas, con trayectorias entre lo m s selecto de la industria de Espa a, Europa y Estados Unidos. Hablamos de estudios como Sony Pictures Animation, The Walt Disney Company, DreamWorks Animation, Cartoon Saloon, Warner Bros, Pixar, Animation Studios, Skydance, Weta Digital o Delirium Studios.

Todo sea dicho, una de las pocas industrias que se mantiene activa y con visi n de futuro a n en la actual crisis mundial originada por la Covid-19, dato que pone en valor el abanico de salidas profesionales al que se puede acceder a trav s del festival.
Para muestra, esta edici n extraordinaria de Animayo que consigue adelantar el lanzamiento de un modelo mundialmente in dito de festival de animaci n 100% virtual ubicando el nombre de Gran Canaria, isla que ve nacer el festival en el a o 2006, Canarias y Espa a en el mapa global de la tecnolog a m s puntera e innovadora.
Un arduo trabajo que ha sido posible gracias al apoyo del Cabildo de Gran Canaria, el Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, el Gobierno de Canarias y todos las instituciones, organismos, universidades, escuelas y empresas privadas patrocinadoras y colaboradoras de Animayo, desde hace 15 a os, ganando el pulso a las adversidades con innovaci n tecnol gica, capacidad creativa, disposici n y af n de superaci n , subraya Dami n Perea, alma m ter, director y productor del Festival.
Adem s, esta edici n de Animayo, nico festival de animaci n espa ol designado Festival Calificador por la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematogr ficas de Hollywood para los Premios Oscar en la categor a de animaci n, incrementa el n mero de ponentes con respecto a su edici n anterior en un setenta por ciento.
Directores, animadores, modeladores 3D, supervisores de VFX, lead layout artists, CG supervisors, dise adores de videojuegos, compositores musicales, character designers, concept artists, storyboard artists, productores, reclutadores o formadores, entre otras muchas categor as del programa, interactuar n en tiempo real con los participantes de Animayo 2020.
