El presidente ejecutivo de Telef nica, Jos Mar a lvarez-Pallete, ha decidido redise ar el modelo organizativo de la compa a para acelerar el ritmo de crecimiento del negocio, facilitar la implantaci n y el logro de nuevas metas y objetivos e impulsar los nuevos valores que habr n de regir la vida corporativa en los pr ximos a os.
La Comisi n de Nombramientos, Retribuciones y Buen Gobierno de Telef nica ha aprobado, en su reuni n ordinaria celebrada este martes, proponer al Consejo de Administraci n que se celebrar este mi rcoles, 26 de julio, el nombramiento de ngel Vil Boix, hasta ahora director de Estrategia y Finanzas, como nuevo consejero delegado. Para ello, se propondr nombrar por cooptaci n a ngel Vil consejero de Telef nica, con el car cter de consejero ejecutivo, ocupando la vacante que resulte por la dimisi n en dicho rgano de Gobierno de Julio Linares.
Julio Linares seguir vinculado al grupo y se propondr su pr xima incorporaci n a los Consejos de Telef nica Brasil y Telef nica Deutschland. Asimismo, continuar ejerciendo labores de representaci n institucional de la compa a en diversos organismos.
El nombramiento del nuevo consejero delegado de Telef nica consolida el modelo operativo introducido en 2014. As , las cinco operadoras (Espa a, Brasil, Hispanoam rica, Alemania y Reino Unido), y las direcciones de Comercial Digital (Chief Commercial Digital Officer) y de Recursos Globales (Chief Global Resources Officer) reportar n directamente al consejero delegado.
En el nuevo esquema de responsabilidades, Laura Abasolo asumir la direcci n de Finanzas y Control, reportando directamente al presidente ejecutivo de Telef nica, Jos Mar a lvarez-Pallete. Esta direcci n engloba las responsabilidades sobre las reas de Finanzas, Fiscal, Planificaci n Financiera y Coordinaci n, Consolidaci n y Pol ticas Contables, Control y Planificaci n y Relaciones con Inversores. Hasta la fecha, Laura Abasolo era directora de Planificaci n, Contabilidad y Control de Gesti n y es miembro del Comit Ejecutivo desde marzo de 2014.
Asimismo, se crea la direcci n de Estrategia y Desarrollo Corporativo, cuyo m ximo responsable ser Enrique Lloves hasta ahora director de Desarrollo Corporativo y de Fonditel que se incorporar al Comit Ejecutivo de la compa a.
De esta forma, al presidente ejecutivo de Telef nica le reportar n directamente el Consejero Delegado ( ngel Vil ), el secretario general del Consejo (Ramiro S nchez de Ler n), el chief data officer (Jos Mar a Alonso), las direcciones de Finanzas y Control (Laura Abasolo), Comunicaci n Corporativa y Marketing Institucional (Jos Luis G mez-Navarro), Asuntos P blicos y Regulaci n (Carlos L pez Blanco), Estrategia y Desarrollo Corporativo (Enrique Lloves), chief of Staff (Mar a Garc a-Legaz) y Asuntos P blicos de Presidencia (Francisco de Bergia).

Por otro lado, Enrique Blanco sumar a sus responsabilidades actuales -Global Chief Technology Officer- el rea de sistemas, hasta ahora liderada por Phil Jordan (Global Chief Information Officer), que deja la compa a.
Por otra parte, y con el objetivo de focalizar todos los esfuerzos y recursos destinados a innovaci n en una misma rea, se propondr la integraci n de Telef nica Open Future en el rea de Innovaci n, liderada por Gonzalo Mart n-Villa.

Vil Boix, vinculado a Telef nica desde 1997 ngel Vil Boix inici su carrera en Telef nica en 1997 como controller del grupo, asumiendo en 1998 el cargo de CFO de Telef nica Internacional. En el a o 2000 fue nombrado director de Desarrollo Corporativo. En 2010, Vil sum a sus funciones la gesti n del grupo de Filiales, compuesto por Atento, T -Gestiona y Telef nica Contenidos. En 2011 fue nombrado director de Finanzas y Desarrollo Corporativo, incorporando posteriormente las responsabilidades sobre Fonditel y Estrategia Corporativa.
En sus varios cargos, ngel Vil ha participado en operaciones tan significativas como las adquisiciones de O2, Brasilcel/Vivo, EPlus o GVT, as como en la OPV de Telefonica Deutschland, entre otras.
Antes de comenzar a trabajar en Telef nica, el Sr. Vil hab a desarrollado su carrera profesional en Citigroup, McKinsey&Co, Ferrovial y Planeta.
Hasta ahora ngel Vil era miembro del Consejo de Administraci n de TEF Deutschland y de Telef nica Brasil, as como del Patronato de la Fundaci n Telef nica. Con anterioridad perteneci , entre otros, a los consejos de BBVA, Telco SpA, Atento, Telef nica Contenidos, Digital+, Telef nica Czech Republic, Endemol, CTC Chile, Indra SSI, as como al Advisory Panel de Macquarie MEIF.
En 2015 recibi el premio Best CFO European Telecoms de Institutional Investor. En 2013 y 2014 fue galardonado por Thomson Reuters Extel como Mejor CFO en Espa a, y en 2014 como Mejor CFO en el sector de telecomunicaciones en Europa.
ngel Vil es Ingeniero Industrial por la Universidad Polit cnica de Catalu a y posee un MBA por la Universidad de Columbia (New York).
