Schneider Electric digitises electrical Switchgear with EnerlinX Smart Panel to connect buildings and deliver energy savings

Schneider Electric, the global specialists in energy management, has launched Enerlin'X, the communication system for Smart Panel. By connecting together the core components of the building infrastructure, energy experts and asset managers can enjoy real-time visibility and control of a building's power distribution systems to maximise energy efficiency.

Smart Panel links together the electrical protection, command and metering components via the building's communication network. This information is then safely transmitted across Ethernet and Wi-Fi to Schneider Electric's StruxureWare cloud services. By connecting all the building's energy data facilities, energy and asset managers can gain greater insight into significant sources of Information - displayed locally on PC, notebook or tablet.

With the cost of energy rising and becoming a barrier to growth for many businesses, it has never been so important for energy managers to know whats going on within their building regarding power usage. 1. Measure Grouping most of the electrical protection command and metering components on the Enerlin'X systems, switchboards can become significant sources of data displayed locally and or remotely via the communication networks

2. Connect Using Enerlin'X, energy experts can provide insightful advice based on real-time data of the building, providing visual information on energy inefficiencies. This can be collated from across the building or broken down into specific departments

3. Save Critical functions are able to use real time monitoring and control services on touch screen displays or through a traditional computer or smart device with a web browser. This allows for a clear, simple overview of the energy usage and alarms with a building
