Actress Bukiwe Keva, who's been playing a high school bully Asanda at Gomora High for two seasons was reportedly fired from Mzansi Magic's telenovela Gomora through a WhatsApp text message.

-- BUKIWE KEVA MISSED A SHOOT' Close friends of the actress Buki Keva, who is known for her role as Asanda at Gomora High told City Press that production fired her via WhatsApp after she missed a shoot on set.
She missed a shoot and she told them that she did not come to set because she was feeling sick. She provided them with a doctor's note which shows that she was sick on the day.
Keva who last appeared in season two on the Mzansi Magic telenovela was allegedly told not to come back on set a fortnight ago.

They [the production team] sent her a text on Monday saying that she must not come. It was sad because she was at home and recovering when she received the text message. She was treated unfairly, and she is devastated.
The publication adds that the actress couldn't comment on the matter when she was called on Friday, 12 August, and did not reply to text messages sent to her.

GOMORA' REACTS TO HER EXIT A source from the telenovela told the tabloid however that the actress' exit from the show was imminent because she was a call actor and did not hold a permanent contract.
They normally communicate scheduling matters, rosters, shoot changes, and production-related matters on WhatsApp because it's the easiest form of communication these days, but I highly doubt that they fired her through a text message because that is not procedure on the show, the source said.
Seriti Films revealed in a statement that Keva was no longer a part of the show, but couldn't reveal why she was leaving.
Bukiwe's contract was that of a call actor. Her character was story-dependent, and the storyline came to an end. Bukiwe was lovely to work with and we wish her all the best, read the statement.
Keva is the third actor to leave the show this season after actors Zolisa Xaluva and Ama Qamata who played the characters of Melusi Dlamini and Buhle Ndaba.
