Endemol wins new entertainment commiions in Central and Eastern Europe

ENDEMOL WINS NEW ENTERTAINMENT COMMISSIONS IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE Endemol, the world's largest independent production company, today announced that it has landed new commissions for its entertainment formats in Central and Eastern Europe. Global hit Your Face Sounds Familiar is bound for the Czech Republic and Slovakia with a 12 episode co-production between public broadcaster Czech Television (CT1) and Slovak Television (STV1). Following the show's success on Antenna in Greece, the celebrity talent format has also sold to Emotion Productions in Serbia. Emotion will produce the show, which will broadcast on Antenna's PRVA, with a prime time series launching this autumn. Your Face Sounds Familiar, which has already has become a number one hit across the region in markets including Russia, Romania, Ukraine and Bulgaria, will premiere in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 2014.

Endemol's new reality format Grading Mom and Dad has been commissioned for a first series by public broadcaster Czech Television in the Czech Republic and ONT channel in Belarus. These deals mark the show's launch in the region and the first commissions outside the Netherlands where the format originated. The series, in which children get to score their Mom and Dad's parenting skills, will launch with a 12 episode run in 2014 on Czech Television and a 6 episode run later this year on ONT. The format was launched internationally at MIPTV in April and is among Endemol's highlights for MIPCOM 2013.

The new commissions are the latest in a series of Endemol format deals across Central and Eastern Europe in the lead up to MIPCOM 2013, which have included the recently announced regional pick-ups for game shows, Next One, Unbeatable, The Money Drop and Deal or No Deal.

Your Face Sounds Familiar is a talent competition with a comedy twist. Celebrities take on a new identity as an iconic music performer and are awarded points for singing, style and believability. But the catch is they could well find themselves transformed into someone far older, younger or even of the opposite sex. Internationally the format has now sold to over 30 countries including US, UK, China, across Europe, Latin America, Asia and the CIS.

Grading Mom and Dad is a reality series from Endemol Netherlands that lets children grade Mom and Dad on their parental skills. How much quality time they spent together, personal chats, hobbies, sense of humour and even cooking will all be ranked by the beloved offspring. The series launched on Nederland 1 earlier this year, where it outperformed the channel average and lead the ratings of its prime time slot.

At MIPCOM 2013, Endemol will be exhibiting in the Lerin's Hall (LR5.15).
