
The Festival de M laga, with Christie Solaria One digital imaging technology La tecnolog a de proyecci n digital de Christie, en concreto sus modelos Solaria One con tecnolog a S2K DLP Cinema de Texas Instruments, ser una de las protagonistas de la XVII Edici n del Festival de M laga, que hoy abre sus puertas hasta el 29 de marzo, que completan el proyecto de digitalizaci n de las cuatro pantallas del cine Alb niz, sede del evento.
El Festival de M laga Cine Espa ol (FMCE) abre hoy sus puertas, hasta el 29 de marzo, para celebrar su XVII edici n dedicada a divulgar y promocionar la industria cinematogr fica espa ola, y premiar con la Biznaga de Oro los filmes a concurso.
En esta ocasi n una de las novedades ser la completa digitalizaci n de las tres salas que quedaban por hacer la migraci n a esta tecnolog a del cine Alb niz, sede del evento, que cuentan ahora con tres proyectores Christie Solaria One, con tecnolog a S2K DLP Cinema de Texas Instruments, suministrados, instalados e integrados por la empresa Sercine, partner de Christie.
El Festival de Cine de M laga estaba buscando tres proyectores digitales DCI para completar la digitalizaci n de las cuatro pantallas del cine Alb niz, sede de este certamen, que se hab a iniciado en 2010 con la adquisici n de un proyector Christie CP2220 instalado en su sala principal.
Para ello, los responsables de este festival de cine convocaron un concurso p blico, que se adjudic a la empresa Sercine, partner de Christie en Espa a, que instal en las salas 2, 3 y 4 del Alb niz tres proyectores del modelo Solaria One de esta multinacional de soluciones de visualizaci n con tecnolog a S2K DLP Cinema de Texas Instruments.
Este certamen cinematogr fico, uno de los m s importantes de Espa a, contaba con un presupuesto ajustado y necesitaba proyectores compactos debido al reducido espacio disponible en las cabinas de proyecci n. Como explica Fernando Ram rez, responsable de audiovisuales del cine Alb niz, evaluamos distintas marcas y proyectores y, finalmente, optamos por los sistemas Solaria One de Christie por su tama o y fiabilidad, adem s de por estar homologados por la norma DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) .
La confianza del Festival de Cine de M laga en la tecnolog a de proyecci n digital de Christie data de hace a os, ya que antes de haber adquirido en 2010 su primer proyector digital, en concreto el modelo CP2220 para la Sala 1 de dicho cine, este certamen utilizaba a os atr s distintos proyectores de este fabricante, tales como Roadster S+16K; HD8K y HD6K, para realizar las proyecciones digitales y en alta definici n de este evento de la industria cinematogr fica espa ola.
Para Javier Jim nez, director comercial de Sercine, empresa ganadora del concurso, Solaria One era el proyector que mejor encajaba en las prescripciones t cnicas que salieron para el concurso p blico, por la compatibilidad DCI en primer lugar, pero tambi n por otros factores, como los 3 chips DMD DLP Cinema 0.69 S2K; tener l mparas y pticas incluidas, as como unas medidas y peso reducidos .
All-in-one design
Gracias a su dise o todo-en-uno', el proyector Christie Solaria One incluye un objetivo con zoom, una l mpara de xen n de alto rendimiento, un IMB (Integrated Media Block) incorporado y un SMS (Screen Management System) para controlar el sistema. Este sistema proporciona un brillo de 8.000 l menes en el espacio de color de DCI y de 9.000 para contenido alternativo. Adem s, est preparado para 3D y puede actualizarse con facilidad para proyectar pel culas HFR (alta frecuencia de imagen).
Otra de las decisiones que influy para su elecci n, puntualiza Jim nez, ha sido el reducido precio del Solaria One, ya que en estos momentos es uno de los proyectores en su tipo m s econ micos del mercado . A este respecto, Christie se ala que este modelo est especialmente concebido para su aplicaci n y comercializaci n en mercados emergentes y salas de cine con pantallas con una anchura inferior a los 10,6 metros.
Luminosity and adaptation to space
En cuanto a la digitalizaci n del cine Alb niz, las pantallas de las salas 2 y 3 tienen unas dimensiones de 7 metros de ancho por 3 de alto, con un aforo de 158 y 148 butacas, respectivamente, en tanto que la sala 4 cuenta con una pantalla de 6x 2,56 metros, y capacidad para 55 personas. Por su parte, la sala 1 del cine, equipada con el proyector CP2220, dispone de una pantalla de 9,80x 4,17 metros y puede dar cabida a 360 espectadores.
Fernando Ram rez valora positivamente esta elecci n, ya que son proyectores muy buenos que dan una gran luminosidad a pesar de su tama o compacto. Adem s, son muy f ciles e intuitivos para el trabajo diario del operador, y de hecho nuestros operadores est n encantados de trabajar con ellos .
Otra de las caracter sticas que destaca el responsable de audiovisuales del cine Alb niz, es que el modelo Solaria One incorpora el IMB, al contrario de lo que ocurre con otros proyectores, que obligan a recurrir a servidores externos. Ese fue un factor decisivo a la hora de elegir los Solaria One, adem s de la excelente relaci n calidad-precio de estos proyectores , al tiempo que destaca el trabajo realizado por el instalador elegido para este proyecto y partner de Christie: nos inclinamos por Sercine por su experiencia y, sobre todo, por su trato humano. Trabajar con ellos es una experiencia inmejorable .
Adem s de ser la principal sede del Festival de M laga, el cine Alb niz proyecta tambi n estrenos comerciales y contenidos alternativos, como retransmisiones de pera y ballet en HD, proyecciones en 3D (una de sus salas est preparada para 3D con el sistema MasterImage), distintos eventos audiovisuales y ciclos de cine. En este sentido, Christie Solaria One incorpora entradas duales DVI/HDMI y puertos de red, lo que le permite mostrar pr cticamente cualquier tipo de contenido alternativo.
