A word from IABM CEO Peter White - IABM looks forward to dynamic, buoyant NAB Show 07 April 2016
Opportunity is being unleashed by industry transformation and the show is a massive window into those opportunities
At NAB Show 2016, IABM is offering its largest ever range of services and events to members to support them comprehensively in what looks set to be a vibrant show. Despite challenging market conditions over the last six months, IABM's latest survey of members shows strong optimism for future growth and prosperity as companies face down the challenges and grasp the opportunities of the rapidly transforming broadcast and media technology business landscape.
Despite an overall slowdown in the global supply market for media technology products and services, there are clearly still some segments growing at an impressive rate and opportunities for substantial incremental business. This has most certainly been evidenced by the high quality and breadth of innovation we have witnessed from applicants for our Game Changer Awards, said Peter White, IABM CEO.
Our surveys also show that members are successfully transforming their operations to align with the new paradigm that has seen end-users completely change their business models to meet the new consumer-led revolution. Many of our members are looking to the future with optimism. As a result, I fully expect to see a buoyant industry at NAB Show, brimming with new ideas and business opportunities. Our State of the Industry Conference on Monday 18th April at NAB Show will be an excellent opportunity to take the pulse of the industry and get a solid steer on where we are heading over the next year, White continued.
Here's just a sample of why IABM members are optimistic for NAB Show 2016 and beyond:
We expect that the 2016 NAB Show will usher in many new solutions engineered to address both the challenges of changing content consumption habits and the need to make it easier for broadcasters and other content creators to monetize content. Eli Warsawski, President & CEO, Volicon.
What I expect to see at NAB Show is the acceleration of end-users driving more efficient workflows, demanding solutions and support from their vendors. Our customers are looking for partners more than boxes. They want us to own it' with them. Michael Accardi, President, CueScript.

We believe NAB Show 2016 will represent an important milestone in the adoption of many emerging technologies that have been gaining momentum over the past two years. Innovations in standardization and interoperability will move demonstrations of IP workflows from limited vendor-specific ecosystems to broadly supported broadcast workflows.
