Madrid, August 28th, 2014 - FOXLife, one of the world's leading destinations for scripted and unscripted entertainment, is slated to launch in Spain in October. The fully localized 24-hour network will be available on all the most relevant Spanish Pay-TV platforms, reaching 2.6 million subscribers within DTH, cable, IPTV and OTT services. The FOXLife launch rounds out FOX International Channels (FIC)'s portfolio in the market, which currently includes pay networks in the entertainment and factual segments via FOX and the suite of National Geographic branded channels. The new channel will offer an inspiring mix of scripted and unscripted content that is targeted at - but not exclusive to - a female audience.
FOXLife delivers an eclectic mix of US dramas, comedies and unscripted programming, as well as local content designed to match the tastes of the local audience. FOXLife will be tailored for Spanish viewers, with programming that will include: scripted series, such as The Good Wife and Scandal; first-run unscripted programmes, spanning reality, music and other programming; and, exclusive local commissions, such as The World's Best Chefs featuring, world-renowned chefs Ferr n Adri , Michel Gu rard, Joan Roca, Massimo Bottura, and Jos Andr s. Much of this content will also be available through VOD and non-linear services, supported by affiliate platforms and other OTT services in Spain, representing not only a new way of consuming television content, but also a new model for Pay-TV services.

FIC has been operating in Spain since 2001 through its flagship brands FOX and National Geographic Channel. The power of these global brands coupled with FIC's approach to locally tailored programming and marketing has established the group as a clear industry leader in Spain and across Europe. According to the latest FIC Global Brand Tracker report conducted by Phoenix Marketing International*, Spain scores the highest brand awareness in Europe.
FOXLife will replace FOX Crime, with the latter's series migrating mainly to FOX. Following this change, FIC's TV offering in Spain will consist of two entertainment brands (FOX and FOXLife), three factual channels (National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, and the travel channel Viajar), and children's channel, Baby TV - all of which have corresponding HD versions.
FOXLife is distributed to 73 countries around the world, with a strong presence in Europe, where the channel broadcasts in Italy, Portugal, Poland, Russia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.
