HISONG announce the AirStudio S1

Combines mic, USB interface & wireless IEMs

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, HISONG have announced that their innovative AirStudio S1 device is now available to order. Said to be the world's first all-in-one recording capsule for musicians and content creators, the compact system combines a high-quality mic with a USB-C audio interface, and includes a pair of wireless IEM ear buds that can be neatly stored the mic's body.

Aiming to provide users with everything they need to capture audio in a single, convenient device, the AirStudio S1 has been designed to tackle recording, live-streaming, podcasting and vlogging duties without the need for any additional hardware. Although it may look like your average USB mic at first glance, the device helpfully includes a pair of wireless earbuds that can be used for monitoring purposes, and can be conveniently stowed away in behind a panel in the mic's body. Thanks to the company's proprietary wireless technology the system is able to deliver latency as low as 24ms - far below the typical 100-250 ms offered by Bluetooth devices.

Physical controls on the mic's body offer quick and easy access to settings such as input gain, muting, monitoring level and a selection of effects presets, while deeper control is available via a companion mobile application. Connectivity with a host device is provided by USB-C, and a pair of RX Mini adapters provide both USB-C and 3.5mm connections that allow signals to be fed to cameras, speaker systems, mixers and so on.
