Innovation and entrepreneurship service platforms brisk

The second batch of nine hackerspace agencies and nine hacker-service centers were granted licenses on September 24, making the total number of such service platforms reach 27.

Compared with the first batch of the platforms, this new batch covers a larger ranger and a larger area. Besides those in the six districts of the urban area, some have been launched in Cixi County, Yuyao County, Fenghua County, Ninghai County and Xiangshan County, with over 60% of them settling down in the local enterprises.

Since the beginning of this year, the work of innovation and entrepreneurship is flourishing in Ningbo. In April, four hackerspace agencies including "Ningbo Innovation and Entrepreneurship Administration Service Center" and five hacker-service centers including "Ningbo Hacker Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences" were established, with the initial start-up fund of 1.5 million yuan, sponsored by the municipal science and technology departments. Currently, "Ningbo Hackerspace", located at Ningbo High-tech Zone, has attracted 12 institutions. The "No.7 Dreamworks" in Yinzhou District has constructed an all-around incubator chain consisting of the hackerspace, the start-up garden, the entrepreneurship park for graduates and the sci-tech incubation park. The "Aquamarine Hackerspace" in Ningbo University of Technology provides training courses on online startups and cross-border startups for undergraduates, serving as a dream harbor for the undergraduates for their innovation and venture.

The risk pool effect of the technological credit is increasingly salient. By the end of July 2015, 14 technological credit risk pools had been established and put into operation, with a capital scale of 62.9 million yuan. Estimated with the credit facility of the partner banks, the Science and Technology Bank will provide 629 million yuan as credit loans for innovative start-ups.

Under the guidance of the municipal angel investment fund, an increasing number of angel funds have been attracted to Ningbo. By the end of August this year, the angel investment fund had invested in 85 projects, with the agreed investment of 78.485 million yuan and an intended investment of 308 million yuan from investment agencies and investors. It had also indirectly attracted 449 million yuan of other social capitals, with the total investment by the fund, investment agencies, investors and social capitals reaching 876 million yuan, 11.3 times of the amount from the guidance fund.

In addition, such innovation and entrepreneurship competitions as the China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Contest and China (Ningbo) Hacker Venture Contest have revitalized the mass venture work in Ningbo.
