American Cinema Editors (ACE) Announces New Date and Venue for the 72nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards

Recognizing outstanding editing in film and television, the ACE Eddie Awards will be held March 5, 2022 at 4:00pm PT at the Theater at the ACE Hotel, at 50% capacity and strictly following all COVID-19 guidelines. An after-party will be held at the historic Clifton's Republic. The previously announced ceremony date was February 26th.

We are thrilled to be partnering with the Theater at the ACE Hotel for the 72nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards, with added safety precautions due to the recent spike of COVID numbers, stated ACE Executive Director Jenni McCormick. We are planning for a 50% capacity in-person event, as the safety of all attendees is of the utmost importance to us. We are monitoring the situation and should we deem it necessary, we are prepared to make the Eddies completely virtual this year. We are also working alongside our counterparts at the Art Directors Guild to avoid any overlap in our ceremonies.

Eligibility dates remain the same: television must have aired between Jan. 1 Dec. 31, 2021 and films must be released between March 1 Dec. 31, 2021. Submissions are now open and close on January 10th. For more information please visit the ACE Website. The updated voting timeline is as follows:

Three honorary awards including the organization's Career Achievement recipients will be announced in the coming weeks leading up to the March 5th awards ceremony. The ACE Eddie Awards will unveil winners for outstanding editing in 14 categories of film and television. A full list of categories for the ACE Eddie Awards follows:
