Cellnex integrates ,9 locations in Switzerland

Cellnex integrates 2,239 locations in Switzerland Acquires Swiss Towers in consortium with Deutsche Telecom Capital Partners (DTCP) and Swiss Life Asset Managers and consolidates its position in Europe with more than 23,000 locations in Spain, Italy, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and now Switzerland.

Cellnex Telecom (54%) in consortium with Swiss Life Asset Managers (28%) and Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners (DTCP) (18%) has reached an agreement with Sunrise Communications International for the acquisition of 100% of Swiss Towers, a subsidiary of the Swiss mobile operator which operates 2,239 towers and sites of telecommunications in Switzerland.

The consortium led by Cellnex will invest 430 million euros (excluding box available in Swiss Towers AG), in an operation that is expanding in 2.239 towers and sites managed by the group in Europe and that already exceed the 23,000 in Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, Netherlands and United Kingdom.

The Swiss market

Switzerland currently has an approximate total of 11,300 towers and sites that give service and coverage of voice and data mobility.

Swiss Towers operates 2,239 locations throughout the Swiss with a greater presence in the cantons of North and West of the country. 32% of these towers are located in urban areas and 64% in roofs that provide ideal conditions for future deployment and densification of equipment associated with the 4G and 5G.

The Swiss market of mobile telecommunications, in a way similar to the rest of the European markets, is marked by the significant data growth in mobility for which expected annual growth above 45% in the next five years.

En el contexto del acuerdo de compra de Swiss Towers por parte del consorcio liderado por Cellnex, Swiss Towers y Sunrise Communications han cerrado un contrato de prestaci n de servicios ( Master Service Agreement') de Swiss Towers a Sunrise por un periodo inicial de 20 a os ampliables en otros 20 en dos tramos de 10.

Una vez completada la transacci n y asumiendo tambi n la aportaci n de los emplazamientos y nodos a desplegar, el Ebitda anualizado se situar en el entorno de los 37 millones de euros. Con esta nueva operaci n de crecimiento el backlog (ventas contratadas) de Cellnex Telecom crecer hasta los 15.000 millones de euros desde los 12.000 actuales.
