Ericon broadens its Systems Integration capabilities for B in Nor America

Ericsson to acquire the entire business of Canada-based Telcocell, a consulting and systems integration company specializing in Business Support Systems

Approximately 200 services employees and consultants are expected to join Ericsson in Q3, 2013

The acquisition complements Ericssons offering to telecom and cable customers particularly in North America

Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the entire business of Telcocell, a Canada-based consulting and systems integration company specializing in Business Support Systems (BSS), as well as its subsidiaries. Approximately 200 services employees and consultants primarily based in Canada and the United States are expected to join Ericsson.

The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the third quarter of 2013, subject to customary closing conditions.

Ericsson will benefit from Telcocells consulting and systems integration experience in converged charging, custom development, quality assurance and production support for BSS. The acquisition complements Ericssons existing comprehensive BSS product portfolio and expertise in these fields and will further strengthen the companys customer relations and BSS transformation capabilities, primarily in North America.

From Telcocells side, the team will benefit from joining a company of approximately 64,000 services employees with global scale and presence.

Ericsson has 15,000 consulting and systems integration professionals who deliver more than 1,500 consulting, systems integration and learning services projects in multi-vendor and multi-technology environments each year.
