IHSE today announced it will showcase its latest KVM solutions designed to streamline workflows, strengthen security, and boost performance in stand C1 at the 2023 Broadcast India Show, Oct. 8-10, in Mumbai. Solutions will include the Draco desktop switches, the Draco Flex matrix switch, and the kvm-tec media4Kconnect DisplayPort 1.2 Extender. In addition, the company will highlight its new partnership and deep integration with ARK Infosolutions in stand E4.

IHSE Draco DPS 4X1 KVM Desktop Series Switches

The Draco DPS 4X1 KVM desktop series switches can be customized to support single-head, dual-head, triple-head, or quad-head computer systems. Starting with a base DisplayPort four-input, single-head package, up to 4K60 can be supported. The DPS 4X1 base unit is a standard two-slot desktop chassis with support for USB-HID, USB 2.0, and optional audio connections for up to four computers to a single DisplayPort monitor. When more displays are added, users can expand the switch with the 4X1 video expansion card using IHSE's standard six-slot chassis. All DPS 4X1 cards fit in any IHSE frame type and integrate with any IHSE KVM system.

Thanks to the optimized compression technology and unique conversion processing, kvm-tec s media4Kconnect series delivers full-4K resolutions in perfect 4:4:4 color space and is compatible with 10G network switches. The media4Kconnect models are available in different versions to support stand-alone extension, redundancy, or in a fully uncompressed version up to 4K. These extenders can be used as high-performance, low-latency KVM point-to-point connections or as part of a larger KVM switching system. Switching can be done through either the on-screen display menu or directly through the provided kvm-tec switching manager software. The media4Kconnect provides a full array of user features to allow customized setups to eliminate the need for external signal and conversion adapters. For instance, the units can be configured to support two images that can be simultaneously displayed as either dual-4K, 4K+downscaled HD, or upscaled 4K and HD. These units support 4K DisplayPort 1.2 using a single duplex fiber-optic SFP module that extends the signals up to 300 meters (984 feet) with multimode fiber or up to 120 kilometers (74.5 miles) with single-mode fiber. Signals are transmitted with full 4:4:4 at 8-bit color in standard models or up to 4:4:4 at 10-bit in uncompressed models. Standard 4K resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz are achievable with low latency and delay-free transmission.

From the company's basic 16-port in 1RU to the larger 160-port in 4RU, Draco tera flex provides huge time savings for system installers who normally must pre-configure network ports as inputs or outputs. No matter the connectivity requirements, the flex can accommodate any need. Systems are available with either copper or fiber connections. For systems needing a mixture of fiber and copper, flex-hybrid frames are offered.
