Grass Valley has delivered the first, fully equipped outside broadcasting (OB) Van to the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in Saudi Arabia. Equipped with cameras, servers, switchers, and broadcast infrastructure solutions, the new van will enable MOHE to deliver the highest quality coverage of live events from across the region. MOHE will be working with Grass Valley's local partner and regional system integrator First Gulf Company (FGC).
From inception to implementation MOHE has absolute confidence in Grass Valley and its live production solutions, said Naim Saidi, FGC CEO. Being their first OB van, it was vital that they got a complete and high quality live production facility, and Grass Valley provided them with just that. They can rest-assured that the OB van will deliver the quality content viewers demand.
The investment in an OB van provides MOHE with a wide range of production tools to cover all educational events and conferences in the Kingdom.
Grass Valley provided MOHE with a number of flexible and future-proofed solutions, including 6 LDK Elite 8000 cameras, a Karrera Video Production Center switcher, a Concerto multiformat routing switcher, and two T2 intelligent digital disk recorders (iDDRs).
The LDK 8000 Elite camera captures HD images natively, allowing the user to switch between multiple formats and frame rates
The upgradeable Karrera Video Production Center is a new modular approach to production switchers and caters to changing production needs of the future
Bridging analog and digital environments, the Concerto routing switcher enables easy configuration and expansion, for a fast and efficient performance
The T2 iDDR combines advanced nonlinear production features with easy and intuitive controls to offer a superior performance.
