El primer episodio completo ser reexhibido el mi rcoles 5 de abril, para los 13 000 inscritos en el MIPTV 2017
La serie in dita de Globo, Carceleros fue premiada este domingo 2 de abril en la segunda edici n del MIPDrama Screenings, evento que marca la apertura del MIPTV, uno de los principales eventos del mercado televisivo del mundo, que se realiza en Cannes, Francia. Carceleros compiti en la categor a Full Episodes con producciones de Reino Unido, Francia, Rusia y Suecia, y fue elegida por el Grand Jury, compuesto por escritores, directores y productores ejecutivos de renombre en la industria. La obra fue la nica representante latinoamericana entre las doce series seleccionadas para la exhibici n exclusiva en el evento, que contaba con un p blico selecto.
Con el galard n, Carceleros ser proyectada nuevamente el pr ximo 5 de abril, para todos los participantes del MIPTV, cerca de 13 000 personas. Esta es la primera vez que el MIPDrama Screening selecciona obras en dos categor as: Work in Progress , con obras a n en proceso de producci n, y Full Episodes , con obras listas para ser exhibidas.
El lanzamiento de Carceleros en el MIPDrama y su selection como ganador en la principal categor a del premio resaltan el potencial y la relevancia de las producciones de Globo en el mercado televisivo internacional, con obras innovadoras en las que se experimenta con nuevas formas de creaci n, producci n y distribuci n, y con contenidos multiplataforma que interact an con diversos p blicos a escala mundial. Para Guel Arraes, director de Contenido de Globo para Dramaturgia Seriada Carceleros representa muy bien la evoluci n de las series brasile as, y es muy positivo que la obra haya sido percibida de esta forma en este festival.
La serie, que estar disponible por Globo Play a partir del d a 5 de junio y en el aire en Globo en 2018, tiene direcci n de g nero de Guel Arraes, direcci n general de Jos Eduardo Belmonte, texto de Mar al Aquino, Fernando Bonassi y Dennison Ramalho, y colaboraci n de Marcelo Starobinas. Carceleros es una serie de Globo en coproducci n con Gullane Filmes. La obra muestra los dilemas y conflictos que viven los oficiales penitenciarios en Brasil.
Inspirada libremente en el libro hom nimo de Dr uzio Varela, la serie es protagonizada por Rodrigo Lombardi ( Verdades Secretas e India - Una historia de amor ), quien interpreta a Adriano, un profesional encargado de la guardia de los presos, que vive las dificultades del encarcelamiento: las suyas y la de los presidiarios. Hemos creado personajes que narran la prisi n todos los d as, que muestran los enfrentamientos y tensiones entre el Estado y el crimen, dice el autor Mar al Aquino. Fernando Bonassi, qui n tambi n escribi la obra, agrega: La realidad de las prisiones brasile as, que se manifiesta casi a diario en forma de revueltas, masacres y fugas, influy en nuestro proceso de creaci n m s que la ficci n disponible sobre el tema, tales como libros, pel culas, obras de teatro y la serie.
En la trama, Adriano es un carcelero responsable de cerrar con llave y controlar todo ingreso a las celdas de una c rcel. ntegro y adverso a la violencia, su arma principal son las palabras. De ellas se vale para garantizar un m nimo de tranquilidad en el ambiente de trabajo, mientras que los problemas en su casa toman proporciones inesperadas, incluso para quien est acostumbrado a lidiar con situaciones l mite. En medio del contexto de riesgo que enfrenta en la prisi n, l adem s debe buscar formas de lidiar con los reclamos de su mujer, que quiere tener un hijo, con su hija adolescente y con su padre, que tambi n fue carcelero. Enfrent ndose a diario con dilemas ticos y morales, el carcelero vive entre paredes, rejas, armas, amenazas y conflictos, principalmente humanos y psicol gicos.
Adem s de la presentaci n en el MIPDrama Screening, este a o Globo ya llev sus series a otros festivales internacionales de renombre, como el Berlinale 2017, en Alemania; el 20 Festival Internacional de Cine de Punta del Este, en Uruguay; y el 37 Festival Internacional de Cine de Porto (Fantasporto), en Portugal.
