Oh boy. It seems socialite, businesswoman, reality TV star and DJ Paris Hilton did not only wait to reveal the birth of her baby via surrogacy to the world. She also kept it secret from her family. And that includes her mom, Kathy Hilton.

PARIS HILTON KEPT SURROGACY NEWS FROM HER FAMILY Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed their baby boy via surrogacy in January.

Now, the 42-year-old Stars Are Blind singer revealed to Harper's Bazaar that she hid her son's birth from everyone, including her family and mother, Kathy Hilton.

The socialite reportedly waited to break the news to her family just before sharing it with the world on social media.

My entire life has been so public, she explained. I've never had anything for myself. We decided that we wanted to have this whole experience to ourselves, Paris told Harper's Bazaar.

I want to protect him and to be with him every second. You have this mother instinct that kicks in, which I've never had before, she continued.

HER JOURNEY TO BECOMING A MOM The decision to keep her surrogacy news from her family surprised fans. Hilton has always been close with her family, especially her sister Nicky Hilton Rothschild, and her mother, Kathy Hilton.

Tension did however flair up between mom and daughter back in November 2022 when Kathy let slip to E! News that IVF had been a struggle' for Paris.

The new mom shot back, telling TMZ: I don't know where she got that. It's never been a struggle at all.

In the cover interview, Paris said that while the surrogate was in labour, she disguised herself with a brunette wig and checked into the hospital under an alias.

Although the new mom has not revealed the name of her baby yet, she told Harper's Bazaar that she likes the name London.
