Funani Zwide's archenemy Alex Khadzi is about to pursue his stepdaughter Zanele after their disagreement and her breakup with Sandile in e.tv's House of Zwide this October.

HOUSE OF ZWIDE': NEW COUPLE ALERT! Viewers of the fashion drama House of Zwide will get to see Sandile's ex-girlfriend Zanele dating her father's rival Alex Khadzi (Warren Masemola).

Zanele will fall for Alex because she's vulnerable after her estranged relationship with Faith and Funani (Vusi Kunene). She's also still hurting over Sandile (Paballo Mavundla) who she doesn't see as her equal financially and emotionally.

Zanele is also looking for validation and wants to fill the void with a fling, according to CelebritySA.

WHY ALEX AND ZANELE WON'T LAST Their relationship won't work because she has no idea that she's being used by Alex Khadzi to destroy Funani Zwide's empire from within.

Zanele (Nelisa Mchunu) is also using Alex to get back at Funani and get over Sandile, who she was in love with.

Zanele like her mother Faith Zwide (Winnie Ntshaba) is controlling and doesn't know how to control her emotions when things don't go her way.

The TVSA October teasers indicate that Zanele and Alex will party together and this week's teaser reveals that they will kiss.

The Wednesday 12 October teaser reads:

Alex's right-hand man discovers a weak spot in the Zwide business

The Thursday 13 October teaser reads:

Alex targets someone close to Funani in his plan to bring Zwide down.

The Friday 14 October teaser reveals:

Zanele is lured to one of Alex's legendary parties.
