74 lessons streamline 3D learning for users at all levels.
InfiniteSkills, a leader in online software training, has announced a new six-hour tutorial for 3D artists, Learning MAXON CINEMA 4D R14. Divided into 74 different lessons, the course provides practical, hands-on instruction for beginners and experienced artists who want to learn how to use the software or enhance their ability to use CINEMA 4D R14's new tools and features.

Learning MAXON CINEMA 4D R14 was authored by Chris Martin, a longtime 3D designer and professor at Houston College where he teaches 3D modeling, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Martin, who is also a partner with the Houston-based multimedia company 1.618 Designs specializes in the creation of innovative digital content using cutting edge multimedia tools, and has designed campaigns for a wide range of multinational companies.
His experience, combined with CINEMA 4D's straightforward interface design, means new users will be able to start building their first models in a matter of hours utilizing the software's most newest features.
Each chapter of the tutorial builds on the next as users learn fundamental skills and synthesize their knowledge by solving actual modeling problems at the end of various chapters. Martin explains basic principles like object hierarchy, moving and scaling, working with coordinate systems, as well as the basics of modeling 3D objects, including creating textures, bump maps and displacement maps to help make models look more realistic.
As the course progresses, artists can use the skills they've learned to build their first project using MAXON CINEMA 4D: a model of a robot. "I take pride in being able to explain complex topics clearly and concisely," says Martin. My goal is to ensure students learn the best practices for 3D modeling in CINEMA 4D along with techniques and skills that will make them better and more productive 3D artists.
Learning MAXON CINEMA 4D R14 is available as a DVD or direct download from the InfiniteSkills website for $99.95. Tutorials are compatible with Mac and Windows operating systems.
