Avid Customers Reign at the BAFTA Film Awards

Award-winning films created with Avid's comprehensive solutions honored at the U.K.'s most prestigious film ceremony

Avid (Nasdaq: AVID) today congratulates its customers recognized for their craft as winners and nominees at the British Academy Film Awards 2017, hosted by the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA ) in London on Sunday, February 12. All five editors nominated for the BAFTA Film Award for Editing-winner John Gilbert for Hacksaw Ridge, Joe Walker for Arrival, Tom Cross for La La Land, Jennifer Lame for Manchester By The Sea, and Joan Sobel for Nocturnal Animals-relied on Avid Media Composer , the industry's preeminent editing solution, to cut their films.

It's an amazing feeling to have won a BAFTA award and I'm truly honoured, said John Gilbert, winner of the editing award for his work on the breathtaking WWII epic, Hacksaw Ridge.
