You just knew that Julius Malema's first EFF press briefing after the elections was going to be blockbuster entertainment. With an increased share of the vote and a stronger mandate than ever before, Juju was primed to purr like a Chesire Cat, and he wasted no time in getting his claws out.

After a brief confrontation with a French journalist, Malema also showed he could be an economic freedom lover as well as an Economic Freedom Fighter when he reached out to Trevor Noah. The politician and the comedian ended up in a war of words last week, but the EFF leader says he has love for the Soweto superstar.

He was less kind to Cyril Ramaphosa though, and predicted the end would be nigh for the president. Here are the highlights of the address from Gauteng on Thursday:

Cyril will have a problem trying to impress his foreign investors and this will give his enemies a weapon to hit him with. He is caught between a rock and a hard place.
