Historic partnership between BBC and Atresmedia TV Atresmedia TV is associated, in the ambitious and pioneering science fiction project, The Refugees (refugee), the prestigious British broadcaster, producer of hit series such as Sherlock, The Fall, Downton Abbey or Luther. Atresmedia TV and BBC have formed an historic Alliance. With this agreement it starts the first co-production of the British operator in Europe. Atresmedia Tv is so associated in an ambitious and pioneering project of science fiction, the prestigious international brand responsible for quality products and successful BBC as Sherlock, The Fall, Downton Abbey o Luther.

The Refugees (refugee) It will be first Atresmedia Series for LaSexta fiction and the big bet of the chain for the fall. The series, whose production will be borne by bamboo productions, will be recorded in English this summer in Spain and will have international distribution after its premiere at Atresmedia. Ram n Campos, Gema R. Neira, Crist bal Garrido and Adolfo Valor are the creators of The Refugees (refugee).

Ben Donald, executive director of the International Division of fiction for BBC Worldwide, has stressed that "what attracted us to this project was the idea to grow our catalogue outside the United Kingdom, being also part of the creative process. It is also an attempt to demonstrate that the fiction of the highest quality can be done with a controlled budget.
