Argosy unveils new KVM over IP broadcast industry firsts at BVE 07

European broadcast exhibition marks first showing of cost-effective KVM extender technology from ATEN

LONG CRENDON UK, 31 January, 2017 - Argosy, a leading international supplier of traditional, file-based and IP-enabled studio infrastructure solutions, has become the broadcast industry's exclusive distributor for two new ATEN products, which will be unveiled for the very first time at the BVE 2017 trade show (28 February - 2 March 2017, Excel, Argosy Stand G43) in London.

The ATEN DVI KVM over IP KE Extender Slim, a more compact, entry-level price-point version of the original KE KVM over IP Extender that was unveiled last September at IBC, is aimed at broadcasters who require multiple points of access to its programmes and systems from remote USB consoles (USB keyboard, USB mouse, DVI monitor) from anywhere over a network from master control rooms to rackrooms and editing suites.

The ATEN DVI KVM over IP Extender Slim combines KE Series Extenders (KE6900, KE6940 and KE6900ST) with the KE Management Software (CCKM), giving broadcast users shared access and control of their software-based infrastructure via IP, allowing it to be managed with a single keyboard and mouse while screens are merged into video walls.

As an IP-based matrix Extender, it can connect in many different ways, to fulfill different working environments, such as one-to-one (Extender mode), one-to-many (Splitter mode), many-to-one (Switch mode), or many-to-many (Matrix mode).

Also making its broadcast debut, is the ATEN CE624 USB DVI Dual View HDBaseT 2.0 KVM Extender, the only solution on the market that can send two signals over a single CAT6 cable. The Extender integrates the latest HDBaseT 2.0 technologies to provide the most reliable transmission of video, audio, USB and RS-232 signals available on the market. The CE624 delivers high-quality DVI Dual View video, USB 2.0 and RS-232 signals up to 100 meters from the source computer using a single CAT6/6a cable. With a simple cable installation supporting various signals, the CE624 is ideal for applications where convenient remote access is required.
