ICYMI, December was a BIG month for Woodward with the opening of its Park City facility. Not only is this big news, but it's a big step forward in delivering a state-of-the-art training and sports facility to US athletes of all abilities, with a special focus on supporting up-and-coming youth athletes.

It's not just skiing and snowboarding-despite being the first outdoor ski area to open in North America in 20 years-it's also a year-round action sports facility both indoors and outdoors as well. When the snow melts, mountain biking will take over the hill in the summer months with freestyle terrain replacing its winter counterparts.

We are only one month out from Woodward Park City's (WWPC) official opening, and it's amazing to see the hype around the facility. Check out the grand opening through the lens of GoPro below.

All-in, WWPC features a 125-acre campus that caters to over 10 specialties: snowboarding, skiing, tubing, mountain biking, skateboarding, BMX, scooter, parkour, gymnastics, cheer and digital media. There is no shortage of vertical drops, rails to hit and trampolines for flipping out.

But quite possibly our favorite part, and the most seasonally relevant pull at this time, is the Woodward Mountain Park. It features terrain for all beginner, intermediate and advanced park riders complete with a 22' halfpipe. Send it, indeed.

Woodward Park City is unlike anything that's come before it, said Woodward Park City GM Shaydar Edelmann in the days leading up to the Dec. 14 grand opening. Woodward exists to empower and inspire the next generation of action sports and Woodward Park City builds on an impressive 50-year legacy of experiences offered at Woodward destinations across North America.
