La Patriot League, una conferencia de 1 Divisi n con campeonatos patrocinados en 24 deportes, ha adquirido 30 c maras JVC GY HM600 como parte de 10 sistemas de producci n de v deo port tiles para dar cobertura en vivo a los eventos deportivos de las escuelas, en colaboraci n con Insiders Campus.
Fundada en 1986, la Patriot League incluye est formada por 10 miembros titulares y tres miembros asociados. Ha proporcionado la cobertura deportiva para su red desde hace ya 7 a os, pero hab a limitado los derechos digitales de difusi n, produciendo alrededor de 150 eventos por a o. Este a o 2013, con nuevos acuerdos que han aportado un paquete de derechos m s consolidado y con varios sistemas de producci n HD a medida para cada escuela, la liga va a transmitir por streaming cerca de 250 partidos en vivo de varios deportes, incluido el f tbol americano, baloncesto, hockey sobre hierba, voleibol y f tbol.
Dise ado y construido por el integrador de sistema Applied Video Technology de Malvern, Pensilvania, cada sistema VidCaster 455 est compuesto por 3 c maras GY-HM600 y un sistema de producci n integrada Tricaster 455 de NewTek.
Un sistema de producci n HD aut nomo
Bruce MacLelland, socio propietario de AVT, admite que hemos dise ado el VidCaster 455 para ser un sistema de producci n HD aut nomo que es f cil de transportar y de instalar. Creemos que la GY-HM600 de JVC es perfecta para la Patriot League. Es asequible, funciona bien asimismo configurada como c mara de estudio o como camcorder ligero de mano, y tiene una ptica zoom 23x incorporada que es una opci n id nea para los deportes .
Seg n Richard Wanninger, director ejecutivo asociado de la Patriot League, los nuevos sistemas se desplegaron a mediados de agosto, y el nuevo canal por internet, se puso en marcha el 26 de agosto. Estamos encantados de poder trabajar con c maras de esta calidad. Para escenas de acci n, son incre bles. Somos capaces de capturar la acci n mucho mejor de lo que pudimos hacer en el pasado, sobre todo con las funciones de zoom , ha asegurado Wanninger.
La Universidad Bucknell de Lewisburg se encarg de producir en directo el evento inaugural de la liga con el nuevo sistema VidCaster 455. Con anterioridad, la universidad Bucknell se hab a basado en las c maras Canon GL2 para el mismo prop sito.
El personal t cnico de Bucknell mont sus GY-HM600 en tr podes para el evento inaugural pero a partir de ahora varias unidades de GY-HM600 para a utilizarse como c maras de mano para el f tbol americano. Con su salida SDI, la c mara es ideal para la toma m vil de im genes desde el lateral del terreno de juego, dijo Birdsong.
La GY-HM600 cuenta con 3 sensores CMOS de 173 que ofrecen una excelente sensibilidad con poca luz, aspecto que ya que se puso a prueba durante la primera producci n de Bucknell. El campo de f tbol no estaba iluminado de manera uniforme, un extremo del campo era notablemente m s oscuro, pero Birdsong dijo que no hab a problemas importantes de contraste entre las distintas c maras que estaban all trabajando en esas condiciones.
M s all de la cobertura de los partidos, las nuevas c maras JVC se est n utilizando para producir res menes y las jugadas m s importantes. La Patriot League est utilizando una c mara adicional GY-HM600, ubicada en las oficinas centrales para producir v deos de sus estudiantes y ex alumnos. Las distintas escuelas asociadas est n elaborando asimismo sus propios contenidos.
Con su grabaci n nativa de ficheros .mov y el uso de las universales y asequibles tarjetas SDHC/SDXC, la GY-HM600 ha asido el eslab n clave para Bucknell al facilitar un flujo de trabajo completo sin cintas. Birdsong dijo que la post producci n es mucho m s f cil ahora, ya que puede acceder r pidamente a los clips desde el editor Final Cut Pro sin transcodificaci n.
