ARRI Alexa SXT integrates a wireless video transmitter The new Alexa SXT W model is based on the popular Alexa SXT Plus and incorporates a link based on the technology of Amimon.
ARRI It has integrated a high quality HD video transmitter and low-latency and a WiFi radio in the new model Alexa SXT W (W, wireless). Based on the popular Alexa SXT Plus, the SXT W will replace models Alexa SXT Plus and Alexa SXT Studio. For owners of the EV Alexa SXT and SXT Plus ARRI Alexa it will offer upgrade options.
The new hardware will be accompanied the software upgrade SUP 2.0 SXT adds monitoring improved HDR, support for cards SxS PRO + and CFast 2.0, faster box screenshots, several benefits for WCU-4 and lens engine and other improvements.
Having a video transmitter built into the Alexa SXT W makes it smaller and more lightweight than it would be with an external transmitter. That also means less cables around the camera and fewer problems caused by wiring since failures in wires are, by far, the most common technical mishaps on set. The setup of the camera and the lighting will be faster, and productions can move with greater agility.
In addition, the integrated WiFi radio opens a full range of options, starting with wireless set color management and remote control wireless camera with the Alexa Web Remote. Other interesting options WiFi are currently in development.
The Alexa SXT W is part of a new and full Wireless Video system of ARRI, along with a transmitter of autonomous for use with ARRI cameras other video or other manufacturers and a video receiver autonomous for the reception of signals from both trasmis you pray. At the core of the system is the technology Amimon with special modifications of hardware and software that complies with the strict requirements of ARRI in terms of performance and quality.
Accessories
A wide range of accessories includes several clamps mounted, extensions for antenna and Director (DMS-1) Monitor bracket by hand as well as a Transvideo monitor specially adapted with a receiver attached to the ARRI transmitters. Whether you use this monitor or other, this modular system allows a compact and efficient setup. An extra power outlet in the video receiver, for example, allows a built-in battery feed to the receiver and a trailer hand monitor.
For the director, director of photography, Wizard or any other person on set, the power of a monitor from the ARRI Wireless Video system increases the creative control and help in monitoring without adding more volume to the configuration of the camera or cause potential difficulties the team. Since the protective hoops in the connectors to the versatile options mounting, all the experience of ARRI has been dumped in ergonomics and durability of the system. Designed to be used in the real world of professional filming sets, each component is to splash and dust proof, is built with durable materials and has a wide range of operating temperature.
Interference between different radio frequencies can cause delays to camera equipment. ARRI Wireless Video system eliminates this problem because it works in harmony with other benefits based on radio offering the Alexa SXT W: WiFi and the ECS, the patented system of control of camera and lens ARRI. Since ARRI now complies with all the requirements for wireless video, computers can have the certainty that there will be no problems on set. The transmission of high quality video from the Alexa SXT W and from autonomous transmitters are long range, uncompressed and encrypted for safety. Audio, timecode, and REC flag are included in the signal with zero delay, and up to four receivers may be used by transmitter.
