Guggenheim Securities International Hires Mark Bentley to Expand Energy Investment Banking Practice in Europe

LONDON Guggenheim Securities International Ltd, the international investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that Mark Bentley has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director in the power, energy and renewables investment banking group in Europe. Guggenheim Securities is excited to expand its energy investment banking practice to Europe, said Mark Van Lith, Co-CEO and Head of Investment Banking at Guggenheim Securities. Mark has established a reputation as a trusted, thoughtful advisor to his clients and his collaborative approach will be a valuable addition to our team in this important sector.

Mr. Bentley joins Guggenheim Securities International after last serving as Managing Director and Partner at Greenhill & Co., where he advised clients in the energy and natural resources industries.

Mr. Bentley has over 29 years of financial, legal and consultant advisory experience in the energy and power sectors. He began his career as an attorney with Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett Inc., where he was elected Partner. Mr. Bentley then entered the financial services industry as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Subsequently, he went on to a career in investment banking, holding various positions at J.P. Morgan, Lehman Brothers and BZW, before serving as Global Co-Head of the Resources & Energy Group at HSBC.

Mr. Bentley received his Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from University of Oxford and his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University College London.
