Ventuz Release 4.04 - The Topology Editor

Update to the newest release of Ventuz 4 for many improvements, such as complete control over entire machine clusters.

We are keeping busy to bring to you the best real-time engine possible. During the last months, we have put in endless hours to tackle a few issues our customers have had for a while, but we also added some new features that will make working with Ventuz faster and easier. Here are a few!

The Topology Editor

This is a new feature of Ventuz Director. The Topology Editor allows you to manage entire computer clusters from a single Ventuz machine remotely. This comes in very handy in more widespread setups, such as a broadcast studios.

MOS Integration

Ventuz now communicates seamlessly via the business standard MOS protocol. We have used this new feature to integrate with the famous AP ENPS News Production System, which means that the Ventuz Director can now be used inside of the ENPS interface for easy creation of news graphics. The plugin allows you to create pages inside the newsroom client based on your very own Ventuz templates. You can see fully animated previews, use the handy drag&drop functionalities and customize your workspace according to your likings. Read more about it on the ENPS website.

4K-SDI Support

We have already proven the concept at NAB, but with the release of 4.04, 4K broadcasting is now an essential part of the Ventuz software suite. 4k support is integrated for the most popular devices of the Deltacast capture and playback family, and for the latest 4k capture and playback cards by Blackmagic. Please contact our support team for detailed information on the optimal 4k workflow.

Improved Animation Editor

We have made some major changes to the Animation Editor, mainly to improve the channel tree view and the logic view of the editor itself. You can now make selections, copy-paste channels and even clone entire channel trees. But there is much more, so watch the video below to find out all about it.

Render To Disk

Upon popular request, the Render To Disk option now operates much faster. But this is not all: Ventuz can now render out audio files and Quicktime Animations. See how its done in the video below!

Other Improvements

New Performance Statistics We have made major changes to the Performace Statistics in the render window. Not only does Ventuz now offer more and more detailed facts and figures on your presentation performance, but via a drop-down-menu you can select which data you want to be displayed - making sure that you are always in full control of your presentation. Movie Stream Node This node allows you to display any movie stream available on your network and embed it semalessly into your real-time content. This video shows you how to do it.

Customized Installation You can now make more decisions on how you want to install Ventuz on your machine, especially when it comes to additional content, such as demo scenes, drivers and the help files.
