London Live selects Ericon for TV channel

Evening Standard TV's new channel, London Live will broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week to millions of viewers across the capital from Spring next year. Broadcast services will be provided by Ericsson, including playout, ad insertion, content hosting and storage, as well as IP streaming in multiple bitrates and profiles.

London Live has awarded Ericsson a five-year broadcast services contract for its new London-dedicated channel. The Evening Standard newspaper was awarded the 12-year license in February 2013, and the channel will be transmitted via terrestrial and satellite digital TV channels as well as multiscreen IP delivery. Viewers will be able to watch on TV, online and via PCs and mobile devices.
