VMware Unveils Keynote Speakers for VMworld 2013 in San Francisco, the Leading Virtualization and Cloud Computing Industry Event VMware to Host Financial Analyst Day
Executive Panel Discussion to Address the Dramatic Challenges the Industry Will Face in the Coming Years PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 12, 2013 VMware, Inc. (NYSE:VMW), the global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, today unveiled the speaker lineup and sponsorship list for the leading virtualization and cloud infrastructure event of the year, VMworld 2013. VMworld 2013 begins Aug. 25, 2013 in San Francisco with more than 21,000 expected attendees. The event will feature more than 300 unique breakout sessions from VMware and its community of partners and customers that are driving innovation in the virtualization and cloud computing industry. More than 250 sponsors and exhibitors are supporting the conference including Global Diamond Sponsors Cisco, Dell, EMC, HP and NetApp.

On Monday, Aug. 26, 2013 at 9 a.m. PDT the event will kick off with a keynote presentation featuring VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger. Gelsinger will discuss the next generation of IT and how the software-defined data center is extending the proven model of virtualization and automated management across storage, networking and security. The keynote presentation will include key announcements and discussions with customers who have used virtualization to become champions of next-generation IT in their own organizations. On Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 at 9 a.m. PDT VMware President and COO Carl Eschenbach and VMware engineers will showcase state-of-the-art technology that is transforming IT by virtualizing and automating compute, storage, networking and security across private and hybrid clouds. Financial Analyst Day
VMware will host its Financial Analyst Day on Monday, Aug. 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. PDT. This will be an informative and in-depth program for the investment community with presentations about company strategy and product direction. This event will be available live via webcast at: ir.vmware.com.
Executive Roundtable: The Data Center is Dead, Long Live the Data Center In an industry discussion hosted by VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger, New York Times best-selling author and noted technology futurist Paul Saffo will moderate a distinguished panel of C-level IT leaders to discuss the dramatic challenges the overall industry will face in the coming years covering everything from the evolution of the data center to the next big technology disruption. This conversation will take place on Monday, Aug. 26 at 1:30 p.m. in Moscone West.
