Media Links, a pioneer in IP-based media transport solutions, is experiencing strong demand for JPEG-XS compression services across its broad product portfolio for high quality, low latency, and reduced bandwidth media delivery.

With applications ranging from the highest profile global events like the recent Paris Olympics and UEFA Euro 2024 to delivering hundreds of weekly services for live sporting events of all kinds, Media Links is leading the adoption of JPEG-XS as an essential technology for the transport of the highest quality media.

JPEG-XS is now widely recognized for its visually lossless compression that enables the delivery of video signals with reduced bandwidth demands while maintaining exceptional picture quality along with extremely low processing latency. It is increasingly being utilized for large-scale prominent productions and projects. For the recent 2024 Paris Olympics, Media Links solutions facilitated the transport of hundreds of feeds utilizing JPEG-XS compression. Finally, Media Links is actively engaged in industry interoperability and fostering open standards, ensuring that JPEG-XS can be integrated across various vendor ecosystems. This makes it easier for broadcasters and network service providers to adopt and integrate JPEG-XS into their existing workflows. At the upcoming Inter BEE 2024 exhibition in Japan, Media Links will be demonstrating the integration of JPEG-XS in real-world media workflows at the IP Pavilion and will highlight JPEG-XS technology in its Xscend Media over IP platform and MDP Series of IP gateways on Inter BEE booth 5609.
