RT Secures Comprehensive 5 Year Free to Air GAA Rights Agreement

Full coverage of 31 Championship games, Tailteann Cup final, 2 semi-finals and Joe McDonagh Cup final

An increase of Allianz League and AIB Club Championship Games providing coverage 12 months of the year

RT Radio 1 and RT RnaG retain full exclusive national GAA rights

Enhanced digital in-game and highlights clip rights and a second TV highlights programme

The GAA today announced that RT has expanded its rights for comprehensive GAA Championship coverage across RT television, radio, and online services for the next five seasons, guaranteeing quality free-to-air coverage to audiences in Ireland across 12 months of the year from 2023 to 2027 inclusive.

RT will continue to show 31 championship games across the island of Ireland on RT television and RT Player, as well as the Joe McDonagh cup final, both Tailteann cup semi-finals and final for the next 5 years.

Increased free-to-air Allianz National League games as well as continued coverage of the AIB Club Championships will feature on Saturday nights, ensuring year-round live GAA coverage across all platforms on RT .

The Sunday Game night-time show will return alongside a new second highlights programme. Additionally, RT has secured enhanced digital in-game and post-match digital highlight clip rights.

RT 's ongoing commitment to camogie will see at least nine live matches per year televised. On radio, both RT Radio 1 and RT RnaG retain exclusive national live rights.

Following the successful expansion of GAAGO's streaming footprint of which RT is a joint partner, exclusive championship games will be made available on the platform in Ireland and overseas from the 2023 season onwards.
