Story Highlights
Since the former NBC Sports Washington rebranded as Monumental Sports Network on September 20, 2023, sports fans in the DC area have been treated to a higher quality of production. This includes new studio programming and new content shown during broadcasts of the regional sports network's five professional teams.
At the SVG Regional Sports Production Summit, Monumental Sports Network's Live Event Producer for the NHL's Washington Capitals and WNBA's Washington Mystics, Ryan Billie, highlights the televised elements that worked in their first year, breaks down some of the lessons that they've learned since the relaunch, and hints at what viewers should expect in their second year.
