Fan-favourite actor Zolisa Xaluva - who played Melusi Dlamini in Gomora has landed a role in Showmax's fantasy series Blood Psalms as General Toka. This is after the star exited the Mzansi Magic telenovela in season three and reportedly got replaced by actor Fezile Makhanya as the new principal at Gomora High.

-- ZOLISA XALUVA JOINS BLOOD PSALMS' Showmax dropped the trailer for their fantasy series Blood Psalms this week which features Skeem Saam's Mothusi Magano, Housekeepers Thando Thabethe, The Queen's Sello Maake KaNcube, and Gomora's Zolisa Xaluva, who plays General Toka the head of her father's Akachi army.

Other stars incude The Wife's Zikhona Sodlaka, The River's Warren Masemola, Isibaya's Enhle Mbali and more.

The series will premiere on Showmax on 28 September and will drop new episodes every Wednesday for 11 weeks and will have its world premiere in Cape Town on Wednesday 24 August.

HIS GOMORA' EXIT Sunday World reported that the fan-favourite actor Zolisa Xaluva ditched the show to pursue other opportunities after disagreeing with the show producers.

A source from the show informed the publication that the actor confronted producers as he was not comfortable with his storyline before resigning.

Another informer stated that Xaluva's frank attitude on several issues rubbed producers the wrong way and they're happy to see him go.

Producers have been trying to get rid of him but MultiChoice refused to let him go, and eventually got the go-ahead.'

He is a brilliant actor, but there are things producers can't tolerate.'

Gomora's publicist Linda Matsolo confirmed his exit from the publication and added that his character will soon be off the telenovela.

Xaluva's character was married to Gladys Dlamini, played by Idols SA judge and actress Thembi Seete, who is now dating Fezile Makhanya's character Principal Cele.
