Banijay Group today announces the launch of Little Wonder, a new unscripted label which will sit in the business' existing production company, 7 Wonder. Headed up by Creative Director Claire Morrison under the leadership of 7 Wonder's CEO Alexandra Fraser, the company will specialise in Unscripted development across factual entertainment, popular factual, factual and reality.
Claire joins the business from an ITV Studios Company, Potato, where as Head of Development, she was responsible for developing primetime factual entertainment titles for the UK's leading broadcasters. During her tenure, she led a development team on an extensive slate, which included ITV's An Hour to Catch a Killer with Sir Trevor McDonald, Channel 5's Inside King's Cross: The Railway and CITV's Bafta Award-winning Bear Grylls Survival School. Prior to this, she has held a number of development roles across the industry during her 17-year television career, working at market leaders including Shine TV, where she developed Sky One's The Force: Manchester, BBC Television where she developed BBC One's The Met, as well as Maverick Television and EndemolUK.
It was during her three-year stint at Maverick Television, Morrison first worked with Fraser, whom she would go on to develop ITV1's Billy Connolly Route 66, Discovery's My Naked Secret and ITV's Children's Hospital with. Now reunited under the 7 Wonder umbrella, Morrison will head up a development team that will drive new development for Fraser's existing Executive Producers to bring to screen. Focusing on establishing original IP with mass worldwide appeal, Morrison will leverage her existing contacts in the UK and US content industry to establish a healthy production slate boasting stellar on-screen talent and unprecedented institutional access.
All content developed by Little Wonder will be distributed by Banijay Rights.
