UZULU NO MHLABA EXPLORES TWO GENERATIONS' According to News24, the maskandi legend iHhashe Elimhlophe will be joined by actors Ayanda Borotho, Ernest Ndlovu, Nothando Ngcobo in the new Sunday night drama series uZulu no Mhlaba.

The publication adds that the new Mzansi Magic drama series premieres at 20:00 on 30 October and tells the story of two maskandi artists, Zulu (played by Aphiwe Bengu) and Mhlaba (played by Ntokozo Vilakazi).
They engage in a brutal feud over music only to discover they are more closely linked than they imagined.
uZulu no Mhlaba explores two generations of maskandi musicians: fathers and their sons, and each generation's musical (and deeply personal) rivalry, a press statement reads.
Having come from very different backgrounds but with a shared passion for maskandi music, Zulu and Mhlaba turn into rivals when they inherit a feud held by their respective fathers.
They learn a secret long hidden from them when an unspeakable tragedy occurs. uZulu no Mhlaba is the story of music and what human beings will do when faced with life-changing moments that need them to confront their deepest fears to overcome them.

ACTRESS PHINDILE GWALA JOINS THE DRAMA SERIES Imbewu: The Seed actress Phindile Gwala also revealed in an interview with Drum Magazine that she's playing a ruthless woman MaNdlovu in the drama series uZulu no Mhlaba.
This woman is very ruthless and harsh. She is different from who I am and what I have played before. I have to work 10 times more to bring this character to life.
The former Muvhango actress also tells the publication that playing two roles at the same time is tricky but Phindile loves a good challenge.
Gwala, who just returned to Imbewu: The Seed also adds that playing MaNdlovu and Fikile in Imbewu is challenging.
Both these women are totally different from each other and from who I am in real life. But I enjoy being someone else. I just have to work ten times harder to portray their differences, without mixing the two. They both have different personalities, and the challenge excites me. Bringing them to life excites me.
