Telekom extends sponsorship contract with Telekom Veszpr m, qualified for the Final Four
Magyar Telekom has extended the sponsorship contract with the Telekom Veszpr m men's handball team, who made it to the final four of the Champions' League a few days ago. According to the agreement, signed today, Telekom will continue to support the work of the adult and youth teams of the Veszpr m Club as naming sponsor for an additional three years, until the end of the 2021/2022 championship season.
Telekom will help the team successfully prepare for domestic and international matches with telecommunication devices and services as well. They will provide WiFi coverage in the Veszpr m Arena for the supporters visiting the team's home turf . Additionally, the company will also work on improving the cheering experience of the thousands strong local team of supporters with digital solutions, such as shot speed meter, virtual reality (VR) based games, and a digital kiosk helping to get information on the team.
According to plans, from July on, Telekom will offer a discount mobile tariff package to customers holding an pit k Supporters' Card, including unlimited domestic calls and SMS sending, plus 5 GB data usage. The supporters' offer is a special one: by using it, customers will also support their favorite team, since Telekom will donate 5% of the revenues of the tariff package to Telekom Veszpr m, on top of the sponsorship fee, and this extra amount will be transparently spent on team supporters.

The cooperation between Telekom and the club dates back to more than two decades, and we are also connected by our love for this sport. We are glad that our most faithful supporter gave their vote of confidence to the club for another three years. We are confident that our results at home and abroad will be to their satisfaction. As for the cooperation itself, it is important and positive for us that in addition to top players of handball, special emphasis is given to supporting the development of younger players as well - said Dr. Zolt n Cs k, CEO of the Veszpr m Handball Team Zrt. upon signing the agreement.
The Telekom Veszpr m team is the most successful men's handball club in Hungary, and a record champion, boasting of the following results: 25 times Hungarian champion, 27 times Hungarian Cup winner, 3 times Hungarian Supercup winner; 2 times winner of the European Cup Winners' Cup, 2 times SEHA League winner, 3 times Champions' League finalist, 2 times European Cup Winners' Cup finalist, 2 times Champions' League semi-finalist and already 5 times participant of the Champions' League Final Four. Besides that, 23 Veszpr m players were picked as player of the year in Hungary, 10 Veszpr m players made it to the European dream team for the year, and 3 Veszpr m players were top scorers of the Champions' League.
