Supporting Screen Businees

Screen businesses are set to benefit from discounted Qantas flights and free membership to the airline's business reward program Aquire, with Screen Producers Australia and Qantas working together to support the Australian film and television industry.

Our members and SCREEN FOREVER delegates will be eligible for discounted flights to and from SCREEN FOREVER, the Australian screen production industry annual conference in November. All attendees will also be able to sign up to Aquire, with Qantas waiving the usual $89.50 join fee.

Our CEO, Matthew Deaner said: These arrangements with Qantas are very fitting for our members given the importance of travel to the business of screen production companies and entrepreneurial producers.

Head of Aquire, Kelsey Holman, said: This is about recognising Australian screen businesses who we know travel extensively domestically and globally in their quest to bring Australian stories to the world.

Qantas' Aquire program rewards businesses for flying with Qantas and purchasing goods and services from Aquire partners that they would ordinarily buy as part of normal business activity. The concept is similar to Qantas Frequent Flyer which rewards members for making everyday purchases with both the airline and a range of partners. Aquire Points convert into Qantas Points at a rate of 1:1.

Ms Holman said the Aquire program, which around 70,000 businesses are already part of, has been well received because the points earned can translate into savings to the bottom line of a company when that company redeems their accumulated points for work-related travel or products from the Qantas Store.

Business owners can in fact triple-dip on points when they fly if they're personally a Qantas Frequent Flyer members, their business is an Aquire member and they pay for their flights on a points-earning credit card, Ms Holman said.

Business owners can choose whose Qantas Frequent Flyer account is credited with the points earned via Aquire. Options include: splitting points among business owners; gifting points to employees as reward and recognition; or redeeming points for employees' work-related travel.

Qantas Points can be redeemed for flights, upgrades, hotel stays, travel insurance, gift vouchers, or the many products available in the Qantas Store.

Aquire members are also eligible to access exclusive flight deals, for work-related travel, all year round on select domestic and international fares.
