GeoGuard, the geo-piracy prevention experts and Toolbox, the entertainment business facilitator, today announce that GeoGuards studio-approved and third party tested anti-fraud toolkit has been integrated with Cloud Pass, the Toolbox user authentication module.

By integrating GeoGuards industry leading geo-piracy prevention solutions with UNITY, we ensure that geographical content rights are supported. This makes it much easier for our content distribution customers to gain access to the highest-quality content.
UNITY is the most complete platform for content acquisition and distribution, offering a unified TV ecosystem for TV Operators and Content Providers. This system allows access to more than 70 signals and more than 100 operators through a single integration, reaching millions of users in the world.
GeoGuard provides geo-data verification solutions and services that enable content owners and OTT providers to prevent the illicit access to content through geo-piracy. The company offers a suite of geo-filtering solutions combined with human intelligence to detect internet users that are spoofing their location through VPNs and DNS proxies, as well as more advanced attacks. To do this, GeoGuard has a team of dedicated engineers and fraud specialists who analyse data collected from the 250 million devices that GeoGuards software is installed on, as well as information collected from third-party sources.
GeoGuards products and solutions cover IPv6 as well as IPv4 addresses and also apply wi-fi triangulation, enabling it to accurately detect location fraud from all device types.
The integration of our geo-piracy prevention toolkit with Cloud Pass means that Toolbox customers can say goodbye to geo-piracy, said David Briggs, co-founder and chairman of GeoGuard. As Cloud TV platforms move up the content quality league table then geographical rights become more and more important. This integration means that Toolbox customers remove geo-piracy concerns from their content negotiations.
