Bright Courtyard Collection to sponsor Transforming Society film award Lucy/ November 19, 2019/ newsKevin Tang, the founder and managing director of Chinese hospitality and catering group, Bright Courtyard Collection,will sponsor the Transforming Society Award at the tve Global Sustainability Film Awards together with Fastflow Group.
When they expanded from Shanghai to London, the group decided where possible to try to support local businesses with their sourcing. Now they hope to inspire others around the world to become more sustainable.
I am always keen on addressing the current climate situation and wish I could devote my effort and energy to it. This feeling has grown much stronger in the past few years,' says Kevin Tang. Although my personal influence is small, I want to support the use of media as a conduit and platform to inspire more people to take part in creating greener and fairer society.'
Kevin will announce the winner of Transforming Society during the awards ceremony at The May Fair hotel on Monday 18 November, one of six competitive categories that will be awarded on the night.
The Award recognises films from companies and institutions that are transforming society as part of day to day business in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Grace Bian is Awards vice-president for the fourth year running, and chair of the China International Culture Stock Exchange and of Global Healthcare. Grace launched two new categories in 2018: AI Empowering the Future' and Global Digital Futures.' This has become the AI and Digital Innovation' Award in 2019. An inventor with 73 intellectual property rights in her name, Grace focuses on the potential of smart cities to transform society through projects like mobile hospitals and smart health villages.
