Ningbo E-commerce Economy and Innovation Park Building a Leading Area of Entrepreneurship and Innovation

As part of the effort to build a city of e-commerce by Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Ningbo Municipal Government, Ningbo E-commerce Economy and Innovation Park puts high on the agenda how to encourage innovation among e-businesses. Founded in May, 2015, the new type of urban economic development zone strives to become a leading pilot demonstration zone of e-commerce across China and emerge as a national center for e-commerce innovation. Its operations span areas as diverse as e-commerce, smart industries, similar financing, cultural creativity and headquartered economy. The incubator for innovation aims to improve infrastructure, institutions, public services and ecological wellbeing. All in all, it works to be an innovation park featured by a sizable economy, strong innovation and creativity, great openness, well-measured allocations of essentials and a pleasant environment with presence beyond China.

Guidance from the Front for an Upgraded Philosophy

The internet-based mindset is being implanted into business managers and cadres at all levels in ways that expedite the transformation from traditional businesses into internet-minded ones. A lecture on Transformation based on Internet+ Initiative was given by Tencent at Ningbo Grand Theatre at the invitation of Ningbo. A number of activities were held, including Ningbo E-commerce Dream of Makers, visiting activities of e-commerce professional managers, 2015 National Forum on Cross-border E-commerce in Ningbo, Sanjiang Yehua Forum, E-commerce Industry Development Strategy Seminar, among others. They have attracted around 100 e-businesses and related industries and enterprises from within Zhejiang Province. Field visits, project research, and other ways led to a close contact with the latest development of the industry, especially Ningbo cross-border e-commerce mode, enjoy the economic prospect of e-commerce in Ningbo, and guide enterprises and e-businesses to achieve interoperability of e-commerce and pursue maker dreams.

We have built a platform that allows partnership among Ali Institute, Zhejiang University Ningbo Institute of Technology, Ningbo University, Zhejiang Business Technology Institute and other strategic cooperation, regularly carry out training seminars to help beginner companies gain fast access to the network economy channel. We must fill the shortage of e-commerce industry talents and exuberant young college students. And we have organized the first entrepreneurship competition, attracted 30 teams of 200 people participating in the talent pool, Internet thinking, combat level, etc. strengthen guidance, bringing together the most promising young entrepreneurs to launch a new model for smart storm,. With innovative training methods in place, Zhejiang Business Technology Institute and Ningbo City College work to build e-commerce, and online education leading enterprises in Zhejiang Province - Djibo education agency education and training to build e-commerce industrial park, and well-known human resources services. UTS manpower is utilized to build e-commerce platform for high-end training and recruitment for the development of the park and build the e-commerce think tank. Plans within three years of training cover more than 2,000 students. We foster social e-commerce talents, and 100,000 people are accredited. We have introduced more than 500 business incubators, joint ventures and realize online transactions of 2 billion yuan and registered more than 50 million yuan in tax.

As part of the effort to implement 3315 Pan-Talents Scheme, we strive to bring together e-commerce businesses in three years to the proportion of 1/4 to 1/3 of the total transaction. The park covers a network economy of more than 100 billion yuan, more than 1000 companies, over 100 brand e-businesses, national regional electricity supplier for more than 30 platforms, gathering more than 10,000 business professionals of all kinds. Better Supporting Facilities

We must improve supporting facilities in core areas in ways that foster a popular environment. We will start a special line of bus rapid transit for e-commerce, increase bus lines and shifts, prolong bus hours at night and expand leasing sites for public bikes so as to facilitate the daily lives of employees. Supporting canteens and convenient stores capable of accommodating 1,000 people provide convenience for catering and shopping activities. Premium hotel supporting projects are put in place for business activities within the park. We promise to improve infrastructure by increasing broadband speed and covering free wi-fi for all. We have established a Party committee for the e-commerce sector and a e-commerce service center responsible for guidance in party building, business negotiations, merchants attraction, policy consultation, among others.
