Broadest portfolio for end-to-end workflow featured in Stand C07/D08
MONTREAL, August 19, 2014 Visitors to Stand C07/D08 at SET Expo will see how the new Grass Valley, a Belden brand, delivers the right solutions, expertise, and service to meet the needs of broadcasters, content owners and service providers, today and in the future. Following the merger earlier this year of Grass Valley and Miranda, Grass Valley now offers the broadest portfolio of workflow technologies and solutions covering acquisition through delivery.

Cameras LDX XtremeSpeed 6X ultra slow-motion camera system delivering superb picture quality, high sensitivity and high dynamic range for a wide variety of production applications, with the XCU XtremeSpeed XF Fiber base station; the LDX Compact WorldCam multiformat camera; the LDX Compact 4K camera - the first 4K/UHD camera system to use a three 2/3 imaging system with the full support of all B4 mount HD lenses.
Multiviewers The Kaleido-IP video multiviewer provides the most simultaneous video and audio program decodes in the industry; the Kaleido-X video multiviewer offers the finest picture quality, unmatched display configuration flexibility and exceptional resilience.
Signal Management/Routers 3RU Densit 3 Frame simultaneously processes 3Gbps, HD/ SD and analog video; the NVISION 8500 hybrid router combines resilience with cost, space and power efficiencies due to integrated audio processing, and simplified cable management that takes advantage of high-density cabling, direct fiber connectivity and audio concentrators.
Switchers GV Director nonlinear live production system is the ultimate multipurpose tool for live production; the Karrera video production center switcher with K-frame delivers superior performance with a wide variety of configuration options and features including 1080p 3G and 4K/UHD support.
Servers/Replay K2 Summit 3G production client delivers speed and stability for live event production; the K2 Dyno Replay System brings compelling instant replay and highlight generation for SD/ HD, 3G and 4K/UHD with pan/zoom technology.
Other solutions in Grass Valleys stand include the Imagestore-Modular IMC200, a low-cost, modular master control and branding processor, GV GUARDIAN remote monitoring solution, the iControl RCP-10x10 series of panels designed for fast and easy remote control of the Densit HRS-1801 routing switchers, GV STRATUS media workflow application framework and EDIUS multiformat editing software.
In addition to its presence on the show floor, Grass Valley will share insights from two executives who will present papers at SET Expo. Mark Hilton, vice president of Infrastructure, will present his paper, Maximizing the Benefits of IT Technologies as Applied to Routing and Signal Distribution, and Leonel da Luz, vice president of sales, Latin America, will present, Congestion: How Can This Happen to Your Tapeless System.
