KMH Integration will attend NAB Show in Las Vegas with a focus on what the company calls AV Casting - an approach built on the idea that professional AV and broadcast have become a single discipline rather than separate ones. The company's client roster includes the New York Giants, NBC Sports, the Wall Street Journal, JPMorgan Chase, and AMC Networks.
The AV Casting Concept
KMH Integration president Kevin Henneman described the concept in a viewpoint published in Systems Contractor News: What everyone else calls convergence, we like to think of it as AV Casting.' But it's really about focusing more on what the customer needs and less about what their market is.
The premise is that organizations across sectors - financial services, universities, sports franchises - are increasingly producing and distributing their own content, and that the infrastructure required to do so overlaps with broadcast production infrastructure. IP-based standards including SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, and AV over IP have moved from experimental to operational, with broadcasters treating AV over IP as a cost-effective alternative to SDI workflows.

Sports and live events: Ongoing systems integration with the New York Giants; work for the Pittsburgh Steelers; production infrastructure at MetLife Stadium and for the New York Red Bulls.
Media and entertainment: NBC Sports' migration to a ST 2110 IP environment; integrations for AMC Networks, Newsday, Vice Media, and Vox Media.
Enterprise and education: AV and broadcast-grade systems for JPMorgan Chase, Colgate, Apollo, Montclair State University, and Temple University.
At NAB Show
KMH will discuss IP-based production design, cross-market workflow integration, managed creative services, and a new exclusive U.S. representation agreement with CESNET for their Modular Video Transmission Platform (MVTP), a live remote music production technology. Kevin Henneman and Don Sperling will be available for interviews. KMH Integration is headquartered in Brooklyn's Industry City, with an engineering and fabrication facility in Hauppauge, N.Y.
